What is Smart Move?

To rid the weed, you must pull the root…

Smart Move’s inception is a long story that began as a search for healing from a traumatic injury and resulted in a genuine answer; plus one million more questions. Westerners are a symptom-obsessed society. Headache? Take some Advil. Back pain? Buy an ergonomic chair. Inflexibility? Go to yoga. Poor distance vision? Get glasses. It is the goal of Smart Move to encourage those seeking answers to wellness problems to realize that pain is neurological. Pain is a threat response, just like a reflex, and without identifying the threat, pain will come back again and again. And again.

To find the root you must dig below the surface…

Smart Move combines two vastly different, yet perfectly complimentary healing modalities. Founded in eastern healing traditions, Restorative Partner Yoga is a physical and energetic modality combining yoga, Ayurveda and 10-Sense lines. Z-Health is a visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive training system founded by a gritty and frustrated doctor in Tempe, Arizona. East met west and Smart Move was born.

Find the root, face the truth…

Do you enjoy the gentle and passive aspects of massage or reiki or do you find exercise as the best way to bring balance? Imagine a healing session in which you are combining deep relaxation and healthy brain and body activation. Imagine making changes to your physical and emotional habits from a safe cognitive space. Lastly, imagine things you thought were chronic, such as poor eyesight, migraines, back pain, five year old injuries, scoliosis, or inflexibility and having the realization that those can be addressed for what they really are: signs of neurological malfunction.
