Whether you’re working through foot zoning, marma chikitsa, hand zoning or chakras, the heart is accessible through many parts of the body. Below are places on the body to access the heart for healing.
1.Heart on foot
On your left foot, place your thumb in the middle of the ball of your foot. Wrap the rest of your hand around the top of your foot and breathe until you feel your pulse on the top of the foot.
2. Heart on hand
Run a finger from the base of your palm all the way down each finger to open the sense lines. Gently rest your middle finger in the center of your palm and little down towards the wrist. Your finger will naturally catch a little “shelf” where the meaty part of the thumb meets the palm. Relax the shoulders and breathe, feeling the heart space flow between the right and left sides. Repeat on the other side.
3. Chakra heart space
Either laying on the back or on hands and knees, begin breathing with the goal of pulling the rib cage away from the heart. Once that image is in mind, imagine a green light glowing as your breathe. Allow the light to ebb and flow as you breathe in and out. See this green light washing over the heart, cleansing it of unwanted emotions that have become stuck to it.
4. Hands at heart center
Bring your palms together and connect the thumbs to the sternum. Take a deep breath and notice your heartbeat where your thumbs meet your sternum. Take 8-10 deep breaths here.
